Got my baby back yesterday. Turns out replacing a rear differential is way cheaper than buying a new car. I was (thankfully) wrong about it being the transmission. I forgot how much I love driving it.

A big benefit of working on a college campus is that I pulled into the office and saw a school bus from my hometown parked in the parking lot and I got to catch up with my old high school football coach.
