I have been itching to start writing here again, but it felt weird to jump back in after six years like nothing happened. Looking back through my old posts, I realized things have changed quite a bit (that is a bit of an understatement). So taking inspiration from John Sundell, I decided to move all my old stuff to an archive and just start over. It is all still there, but I can pretend that it’s not.

I also went back to using Jekyll and GitHub Pages instead of Wordpress. I missed the simplicity of a statically generated site.

The design is still the same, but I will be adding dark mode and better support Safari’s floating controls soon. But for now, the only thing that changed was swapping old Twitter and Micro.blog links in the footer with Bluesky and Mastodon.

I am excited about having my place on the internet where I can write more than a couple of sentences at a time back up and running. I hope it is not another six years before my next post.
